I can almost hear the voice of Jim Nantz

Here we are again.  The first major in 8 months.  The first of the year.  A tradition.

I've never been one to watch a ton of sports.  For four days in early April, though, I'm glued to the TV.  There's nothing else like it.  The history.  The property.  The greenest grass you've ever seen.

I was fortunate enough to attend the final round of the 2005 Masters, and much like anyone else you speak to who has walked the grounds of Augusta National Golf Club, I can tell you that TV doesn't do this place justice.  The turf is perfect.  The elevation changes are about 10 times more severe than CBS's coverage implies.

After last years stunning Sunday rounds, I can't imagine that this year could offer anything more exciting.  But that's a category in which I have been wrong before.  Sunday at Augusta is unpredictable.

I can't wait to be surprised.
